Learning Resources Simple Machine Set

Learning Resources
Learning Resources is a company that sells educational and learning toys for children ages 2 and all the way to 5th graders. My son Brendan is 10 and He was sent a great item to try out. This is their Simple Machine Set which retails for $42.99.

Build all 5 simple machines at once! Perfect for physical science centers.

  • Develops a deeper understanding of how machines make work easier by offering students the opportunity to construct, examine and explain them

  • Contains enough pieces to build a lever, pulley, inclined plane, wedge, and wheel and axle all at the same time

  • Features 4 weights (two 5g and two 10g) and 8 rubber bands so students can modify machines to explore effort, force, load, motion and distance

  • Includes Activity Guide with definitions of physical science terms

  • Set of 63 labeled plastic pieces that fit together easily and separate to store

  •
These are all of the pieces that it come with. We watched Brendan build many different things with the set. First he built all of the ones in the book and then his imagination took off and he started building on his own.

He really liked it and it was right after he learned about simple machines in school. This was something we can do as a family and we had a great time watching him.
