Thanks for the guest post by Jo Levy

I was looking at information on  when a show on television caught my eye. It was an older movie and seemed familiar, but I just couldn’t put my finger on what it was at first, until saw Marilyn Monroe in a stunning wine colored satin gown. Then I knew immediately what movie it was. I hadn’t seen it since I was a really little girl. It was “How to Marry a Millionaire”. I ended up stopping what I was doing and watching it. It was a cute movie, but it made me think about how times were so different when the movie came out. The story line is about three fashion models in New York. They rent a high dollar apartment and set out to meet men that have a lot of money, “millionaires” for that. One of the girls doesn’t even care that one of the men that she is chasing is married. Although the topic is old-fashioned, I love the movie. I love the costumes and the actresses. I especially love Marilyn and could watch any movie that she is in.
