Keurig Coffee Maker Review

I finally received my Keurig coffee maker for a Christmas gift that both Danny and I wanted. We purchased the Platinum one and I love it. It is so easy to use and I love all of the different K-cups that  you can use with it. The machine is easy to use and we no longer waste alot of coffee every day.
The Platinum Brewing System brews a perfect cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage in under one minute at the touch of a button. With an award-winning design, this brewer features a blue, backlit LCD display that allows you to program water temperature, set the digital clock, Auto On/Off and your favorite cup size. With the choice of five cup sizes, the Platinum brewer offers a removable drip tray to accommodate travel mugs.
  • Fully Programmable
  • Choice of 5 cup sizes (4 oz., 6 oz., 8 oz., 10 oz. and 12 oz.)
  • Removable 60 oz. water reservoir
  • Quiet-Brew Technology®
  • Energy Savings Mode – Auto On/Off
I think it is so pretty and it is so easy to use.
It comes with a 12 kcup variety pack to sample some flavors.
If you are thinking about a new coffee then this brand is for you. I love this and so does my husband. You can also brew tea over ice with this one too. All the hot cocoa you need from this pot..I can not wait to try out more kcups. The next time I drive by a dunkin doughnuts I will definitely be stopping in to buy a pack of theirs to try.

  1. Yes, true. A great coffee maker. It is elegant and functional. Makes great, piping hot coffee.

I do not use the k cups. I prefer my own favorite coffee grounds scooping them into a metal cup that I place in the holder instead of the k cups.

The design is really appealing. It is convenient too, as the water reservoir is removable and can be taken to the sink for refill instead of the while unit.

But please do take in mind that you are really lucky for receiving such a great coffee maker as a free gift, but not everyone does. And the downside of this single serve coffee maker is that it is a bit expensive, while some drip coffee makers can be bought for about $20 or less. Still, many coffeemakers have a real problem brewing hot enough coffee, and the Keurig must be applauded for making a great hot cup.

One may also want to give a try the Pour Over coffee method (you can read about it here: pour over coffee makers.) It's really cool, simple and make a great, flavor-rich brew, perhaps better than the automatic coffee makers.

    Kind Regards, J
