Trying To Go Green: LunaBar Review

Clif Bar & Company started on a bike ride. Our founder, Gary, took a bite of yet another energy bar and thought to himself, “I can do better.” Two years later, CLIF Bar was launched and soon became the leading energy bar.
As much as we loved the original, many of the women here at Clif Bar & Company were in search of a bar more suited for us — something just as flavorful and satisfying, but smaller and with fewer calories. And, we wanted this bar to address our unique nutritional needs.
So we put our minds and taste buds to work to create something delicious and nutritious. In 1999 we launched LUNA. It was an immediate hit with active women who wanted something that tastes good and is good for them.
As a company we hold ourselves to not one, but five “bottom lines”:
