I have to say that I really liked this book. It was a great story and a easy ready for my 8 year old. Now that it is in a level 2 reader format a perfect story for also readers in training.
Hermie a common Caterpillar by Max Lucado. This is a story about Hermie who is a common caterpillar. He has no spots, stripes just smooth green skin. This story has a very good message as he meets friends along the way that are beautiful animals each time he asks god why that he created him so common. Each time God gives him the same answer he tells him that he is not finished with him yet. He meets another friend named Wormie who is just as common as he is. Together they meet new friends that are beautiful and ask god together why he made them so common and again God tells them both that he is not finished with them yet. Then one day Hermie feels very sleep and lays down to take a nap. When he awakes he is a beautiful butterfly. He finally realized what god had planned for him. This is a great story and a great message. I would recommend this book.
