Newmans Own Organics Newman-O's Review

I have another Newmans Own Organics review. Today is going to be on their Newman-O's. They sent me over 3 different packages to try. I'll tell you about the cookies and then show you what I tried.

We've expanded our popular Newman-O's line with the addition of Peanut Butter Crème Filled Chocolate Cookies in a 9 oz. package. Also available in this size will be the original Crème, Chocolate Crème, Mint Crème, Crème Filled Ginger Cookies, and Wheat Free, Dairy Free Crème, as well as in the larger 16 oz. package.

As in our other cookies, we are using organic palm fruit oil. It shouldn't, though, be confused with palm kernel oil. Organic palm fruit oil:
  • Is not hydrogenated
  • Contains no trans-fatty acids
  • Is lower in saturated fat than butter and has no cholesterol
  • Is widely used in Europe as an alternative to partially hydrogenated oils
  • Is extracted from the palm's fruit not the palms kernel
  • Can be grown organically in tropical regions
I tried out their Newman-O's original, Hint-O-Mint, and their Ginger-O's

They are all really good and we enjoyed all 3 bags. I would recommend them to anyone with kids or who loves chocolate cookies. They are great dipped in milk for a late snack.

I received these items for review purposes only. My opinions are honest and I was not paid for this review.

Newman's Own Organic Alpahbet Cookie Review

Newman's Own Organics also sent us over their Alphabet cookies in cinnamon graham flavor.

"Animal crackers were a favorite of mine growing up," says Nell. "Our Alphabet cookies offer the same kind of fun. We're hearing from both parents and teachers that the letters intrigue kids. They're spelling out their names and finding words to make before popping them into their mouths. They make great snacks with juice or milk."

The cookies, which are guaranteed to keep your kids spellbound, come in four popular flavors:
  • Arrowroot
  • Cinnamon Graham
  • Chocolate

Like other cookies in the line, Alphabets do not have any cholesterol or trans-fatty acids because of the use of Organic Palm Fruit Oil. Organic palm fruit oil shouldn't, though, be confused with palm kernel oil.

Organic palm fruit oil:

  • Is extracted from the palm's fruit not the palm's kernel.
  • It is not hydrogenated.
  • Contains no trans-fatty acids.
  • Is lower in saturated fat than butter and has no cholesterol.
  • Can be grown organically in tropical regions.

Of the three tropical oils, Palm Fruit Oil is 50% saturated, while Palm Kernel Oil is 86%, and Coconut Oil is 92%.

We like, too, that palm fruit oil comes from a part of Columbia where its production helps protect the area.
These were so good and we all sat down and ate them with a glass of milk. I cant wait to try the chocolate ones! These have the perfect taste and Brendan just loved them we are the whole bag.

Newman's Own Organics Hermits Review

My next item for review from Newman's Organics is their Hermits.
They sent me over their Original and their Cinnamon flavors. They also have it in ginger flavor.
Newman’s Own Organics has added Hermits, an old-fashioned soft cookie, to its popular cookie line. The cookies are available in three flavors: Original, Cinnamon, and Ginger.
The 9 oz. package with the familiar Nell and “Pa” Newman logo contain twelve cookies.
“Hermits were a family favorite when I was growing up,” say Nell Newman, co-founder and president of the company. “Our recipe, which is based on one we used to make at home, is filled with our delicious organic raisins and sweetened with organic molasses. These spicy, chewy cookies are said to have originated in Colonial New England. One theory is that hermits were named for their long keeping qualities—better when hidden away like a hermit for several days. I doubt if these will last long enough to hide.”
My favorite is the cinnamon. These are really good and i can taste the molasses flavors. Danny really liked these as well.

Newman's Own Organics Cookies Review

Next on my review is Newman's Own Organic Family Recipe Cookies. They sent me over three bags. Chocolate Chip, Ginger snap, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip.
Chocolate Chip Cookies were really good and they had a good bite to them. I had my nephews spend the night and one of them Will had ate the whole bag while I was asleep so they are defiantly kid approved.
Next they sent over a bag over ginger snap cookies. However I didn't care for the taste of the ginger but Danny really liked them. They are a crispy cookie.
Lastly is the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies. We all really liked these cookies. They had the great Chocolate chip taste with the hint of oatmeal. They really hit the spot.

Overall I love these cookies and i will be purchasing these again. Don't forget after the series of reviews of Newman's own organics there will be a giveaway!

I want to thank again Newman's own organics for sending over these products. My opinions are honest and i was not paid for this review.

Newman's Own Organics Licorice Review

Next up for review is Newman's Own Organics Licorice. Let me tell you how we are big licorice fans here at my house. They sent over 4 different sets of licorice for us to try.
Newman's Own Organics introduces the first licorice twist made with organic ingredients. Licorice twists are the most popular kind of licorice candy and the twists are available in today's favorite flavors, Black and Strawberry, along with two new fruit flavors, Pomegranate and Tangerine. The suggested retail price for the 5 oz. package is $2.99.
I can't even tell you which one was my favorite because they were all so god. I am not a black licorice fan but i have to say that it was the best black licorice that I have ever tasted. it was so fresh it was like they had just made it the day i opened the bag. I can tell you that Brendan's favorite is the strawberry as he ate the whole bag in one day. The flavors of the pomegranate and tangerine are so good and like nothing i have ever tasted before.

Stay tuned after I review all products sent there will be a giveaway in a week or so.

Thanks to Newman's Own Organics for sending out these products. My opinions are honest and i was not paid for this review.

Newman's Own Organics Pretzels

I was sent over a large box full of Newman's Own Organics products. So I will be listing many separate reviews on their products as I am trying them out. Today I am reviewing three of their pretzels. They actually have 14 different variety's.
The packages with their distinctive, eye-catching bags feature an American Gothic "Pa" Newman and daughter Nell. They come in 7 oz. to 8oz. bags and in rounds, sticks, nuggets, minis or thins. Since they're baked (not fried), our pretzels make a great low-fat, healthy snack. The Bavarian-Style sourdough are fat-free, while the other pretzels have only 1 to 1.5 gram fat (no trans-fat).
The Rounds come in salted, unsalted, and a unique salt-and-pepper flavor. We like to say, "They're hot, but not too hot!" Bavarian-Style sourdough come in a larger twist style. The Minis include spelt and hi-protein. Spelt has a light, slightly sweet, nutty flavor. With a stronger outer hull than either oats or wheat it seems to keep more of the nutty grain taste and good nutrients locked inside. By using yellow pea flour, we were able to create a hi-protein pretzel with 5 grams of protein per serving.
Sticks are available in salted, unsalted, salt-and-pepper variety with a salted rod-size. We find our Salted Nuggets to be travel-friendly. These are "no crumbs, no mess" pretzels that are great for cars or in the office to keep tell-tale crumbs off your desk. And for those who have requested a thicker stick, we now offer Rods. Our old style pretzel rods forced us to revise an old adage: "Don't spare the rods. Spoil the child!"
Lets start with the Honey Wheat Minis. They are a bit crunchier than a regular pretzel but I love the taste.

Next is the Mighty Minis. They have a great taste and i love that they are organic.

Lastly we have the Thin Sticks. I really love these especially for dipping. I like to dip my pretzels into hot pepper jelly. Yum.

Overall Newman's Own Organics has alot of great products. I never knew that they sold organic. You will be seeing some of their products in the weeks to come.

Thanks to Newman's own organics for sending me this great package for review. My opinions are honest and i was not paid for this review.
